First and Final Draft of Movie Magazine Cover.

This is final draft of our groups movie magazine. This is an effective magazine cover in my opinion. I think this because i feel it contains all of the necessary conventional elements of a movie magazine and therefore it is realistic looking. These include feature such as the bar code, price and the offer for 'free giant movie posters' which you will find in most other movie magazines that you can purchase. As well as this, we have the back ground image depicting the main character of our production. This is standard in most magazines as this shows where the focus is. The image is large and the effect added draws attention to the character in the picture. The black and white background with the bright red of the costume makes the picture jump out even more. For this reason, it catches your eye.

This is the first draft of our movie magazine.
In comparison to the final one we created, I think it's good but the final one is definitely much better and a lot more effective. I think that the primary reason for this is that the background image in this one doesn't stand out and is too dark for the magazine. The new one that we created works much better because it's bright, bold and will grab the attention of audiences.

Trailer Progress Update.

Since my last weekly update a few weeks ago, we have finally completed all filming for our trailer and as a group we are now in the final editing stages.

We recently re-filmed some footage we had previously shot because we felt the lighting didn't give off the feeling of horror we were going for. To solve this issue, we re-shot some scenes we had recorded at Tom's house and waited till it was dark so that they could be re-done. We also re-filmed footage we had shot in Sheldon Country park and did this one a day when it was frosty and snowing instead as well exploring the location further and finding some better looking places to film. We are now happy with all the footage we have recorded for our trailer and we can finally continue and complete the editing.

In terms of music, we have found a piece for the beginning of our trailer and now need one for the latter part when the tension builds up and the trailer becomes fast paced and full of action. We have been looking on copy right free music sights such as Jamendo and Sound Bible and have a few options. All we need to do now is make a decision as a group on what track we want to use.

We are hoping to have the first cut of trailer done and uploaded by the end of the upcoming week and I will post an update and complete my 'The Making Of..' post when we have!
